Haiku Challenge Altered & Accepted! – II

[Continued from here.]

Here are some more Haiku-inspired-non-Haiku:

Crickets chirped and frogs croaked

And time passed by surely and swiftly.

But never once looked back.

The wolf’s howl was heard

Not far from where the people lived

“Kill him!” they cried passionately.

Fresh tears filled her eyes

When the time came to say good bye .

How could she leave him?

The whispers of the waves

And the whistles of the naughty wind

Only brought the lovers closer.

The clock’s hands moved timely

Shattering the silence of the dark room

Where the woman lay awake.

Note – Number V made me chuckle. If you’ve been around long enough, you know what I’m talking about. *Wink*
