Quick Quote – DECEMBER

“Argue for your limitations, and sure enough they’re yours.”
– Richard Bach, Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah
*
A short quote. And one of my favorites.
Arguing for one’s limitations implies a strong belief in them. When you start believing in them, you condition your attitude towards life. And when that happens, your (supposed) limitation seems so true you don’t dare go anywhere near it; you lose the courage to change things in that sphere of life.
Hence, believe in yourself. The sky is the limit, as they say. Don’t be afraid and take charge of things. The rest will help itself.

  1. I think that the battle everyone does during the day/week/month/year is just what Bach’s quote suggests “Argue for your limitations, and sure enough they’re yours”…but every now and then there is a moment that we ignore this argument and shoot for the stars. The trick is, learning to ignore this internal doubt (which I certainly have not ~ but making progress keeps me going!). Cheers Meghna!
